Several barnyard animals were happy grabbing soda pops from the fridge. But several...
were not. They wanted fountain drinks. They barked, they clucked, they mooed. The passive-aggressive among them typed things they wouldn't say in person and posted them online.
So Lynnwood called a meeting. The chickens were on the fence. All the horses voted "Neigh."
Lynnwood cast the deciding vote... in favor.
And with that, fountain drinks and Haus-brewed tea were instituted at HubHaus.

Hey, Günther. Do you like eating fresh, made-from-scratch Bavarian pretzels?
GÜNTHER:
Yes, Gertrude. As a matter of fact, I do.
GERTRUDE:
Under what conditions, Günther?
GÜNTHER:
Primarily when the beer cheese is made with freshly brewed beer.
(Both sit in quiet contemplation. Wind chimes. Distant church bells.)
GERTRUDE
(breaking the silence)
Does it matter where the beer is brewed?
GÜNTHER:
Gertrude, if you must know, I prefer the beer used in the cheese to be brewed precisely fourteen steps away from the pretzel oven.
(Both rise. GÜNTHER begins drumming on the metal pail. Music swells, and they burst into song. Various barnyard animals enter rhythmically from offstage.)
GERTRUDE & GÜNTHER (singing):

To the kitchen where the pretzels bake.
Fresh dough–cheese–beer,
We can smell it from here,
And order two, for goodness’ sake.

We’ve got some guiding virtues around here...
HARD WORK for instance: we work our tails off... maybe that’s why Lynnwood doesn’t have one!
And here’s another: GRATITUDE.
One person didn’t build HubHaus. Or two, or three, or four. It took dozens of contributors, each leaving their mark. Today, we thank three.
Adam Moore illustrated Lynnwood, our unicycling mascot. We asked for a unicycling cow wearing an army helmet and wielding a pickaxe. Adam didn't laugh -- he brought Lynnwood to life. Adam got his start nearly 25 years ago designing album covers and posters for friends’ bands. That passion evolved into a full-fledged career in branding, marketing, and now product design, currently as a Senior Product Designer at Coinbase. He lives with his wife, Rebecca, their two kids, and a lively crew of animals in southern Kentucky.
Chef Rachel O’Neill helped us refine our flavor and find our voice on the plate. She’s the creative spark behind many of our most popular menu items. In addition to running her personal chef business, Dinners Done, Rachel currently serves as a chef at the University of Louisville.
Amanda Jacobs turned our jumble of wild ideas into a cool, coherent space crafted for occasions. With over 15 years of experience, Amanda founded Amanda Jacobs Design to explore the intersection of architecture, history, and personal story. Her thoughtful, intentional approach helped shape HubHaus into a place that feels like more than just a restaurant/brewery -- it feels like us.

Lunchy Luncherson was Lynnwood's nickname in college because he liked LUNCH so MUNCH.
He'd say, "Hay! Let's graze on over to HubHaus -- my new restaurant, arcade, craft brewery -- and have some nutritious, delicious salads!"
And all his bovine buddies would shout, "Hay!" or "Hurrah!" or "Vamos!" or "Auf geht’s!" depending on their country of origin.
And Lynnwood's little lamb buddy, Niblet (who feared the shears and was teased by his peers), would sheepishly ask, "Lynnwood... am I invited?"
And Lynnwood would tousle Niblet's fleece and answer, "You're always invited."

A crispy, breaded pork schnitzel served on a warm, salted pretzel bun. Topped with rich and creamy Haus-made mushroom gravy.
2. Brewmaster Brat
A locally-sourced beer brat crafted with HubHaus brewed beer, served in a soft hoagie bun. Topped with your choice of sautéed peppers and onions or tangy sauerkraut.
3. Classic Reuben on Marbled Rye
A classic Reuben piled high with tender, thinly-sliced Haus-made corned beef, melted Swiss cheese, tangy sauerkraut, and creamy Russian dressing between two slices of soft marble rye.
4. BBQ Smoked Brisket Sandwich

A smoky, perfectly-baked potato loaded with hearty chili and melted cheese and your choice of tender brisket, pulled pork, or sautéed peppers, onions, and mushrooms plus a kick of jalapeños.
8. Classic Chicken Wrap

We’re restoring the HubHaus storefront to its original appearance--just as it looked back in 1777, when a visionary minotaur named Lynnwood Frenecky founded the world’s first restaurant, arcade, and craft brewery combo right here in Central Kentucky.
We invite you to a simpler time… kids dropping quarters in the pinball machines, dads parking the family unicycle around back. HubHaus is an Elizabethtown classic, and you'll always be welcome.
